Was Nichita Stanescu nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature?

There is no proof yet that Nichita has been nominated for Nobel Prize in Literature. According to Nobelprize.org, only after 50 years the records with the nominations will be made public. Is there a trusted source which can confirm the nomination?

"Notable work"

[edit]

So: his 2nd book, "O viziune a sentimentelor" is listed as "notable work". That is not accurate. While it is a good book, it is not his best. His best known books and best reviewed books are by far "11 elegii" (1966) and "Noduri ṣi semne"(1982). After I find a couple of reviews online to state this well kown fact, then I will modify this. Political party

[edit]

He was not an activist of PCR. He did not hold political functions. Is the political affiliation relevant enough to be needed in the header? Rumburak level 3 wizard (talk) 22:33, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In regard to this issue, I checked several pages of other Romanian writers from the same era and noone has the political party information in the info box, for example Nicolae Breban, Marin Preda, Adrian Paunescu, et al. TBH, the majority of the articles about romanian postwar writers do not have an infobox at all, but those who do have, have no political party affiliation mentioned in the ìnfobox, hence this does not look like a rule. Therefore I think this can be removed here, as, like I said before, it is not like Nichita Stanescu had a political career. Rumburak level 3 wizard (talk) 06:55, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

I added the Struga award , which was an important poetry award. He also received several national poetry awards. I will include them later because i am a little busy now, but I don't think those awards should be in the header, because they are too many, but they should be in the body of the article. Photo

[edit]

He has several beautiful well known photographic portraits. I believe that a photograph would be more accurate that a painting, for a poet from the 2nd half of the 20th century. Rumburak level 3 wizard (talk) 07:56, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy

[edit]

In this paragraph is written about a school and a street named after him. I think there must be 100 schools that carry his name countrywide, and the same must be true for streets. Yes, the one in Ploiesti looks more important, because it is his birthplace. However this paragraph seems bland. Someone should rewrite it.
